THE 125 bANNER PROJECT

As part of this year’s celebrations the club is launching an exclusive 125th Year Banner Project to help raise funds for a permanent Collingwood museum.

All Collingwood members and supporters have the chance to be a part of history and have your name displayed on the Collingwood Cheer Squad Banner at our 125th Anniversary match against Carlton at the MCG on Saturday 6 May 2017.

Each name will be placed side by side with the names of every player who has ever donned the famous black and white stripes for Collingwood since 1892.

A donation of $25 will ensure your name is exhibited on the banner and in addition every person involved will be able to access to a photograph of the banner displaying all names and an invitation to the launch of a special 125th Year Anniversary Display at the Holden Centre.

A large print of the banner featuring all names will also be displayed at the Holden Centre.

All funds raised will go directly to a campaign to establish a permanent Magpie Museum.

The Collingwood Football Club possesses an extraordinary collection of memorabilia and the 125th Banner Project is the first step in the club’s plans to bring more of our treasures out of the storage vaults and on display for members and fans alike.

As part of this year’s celebrations the club is hosting a special 125th Anniversary Exhibition at the Holden Centre called “The History of Collingwood in 125 Objects” and set to open in July 2017.

The 125th Banner Project offers you the chance to be part of Collingwood history, and to help preserve and celebrate our history for future generations.
